How to delete your account from Discord

Before you proceed, ensure you have access to your Discord account and any necessary login credentials.

Steps to delete your account

1. Login to your Discord account:

   • Open the Discord application on your device or go to discord.com and log in with your credentials.

2. Access User Settings:

   • Click on the gear icon (⚙️) located at the bottom left corner of the Discord interface, next to your username.

3. Navigate to My Account:

   • In the User Settings menu, select the "My Account" tab from the left sidebar.

4. Initiate Account Deletion:

   • Scroll down to the bottom of the "My Account" page.
   • Click on the "Delete Account" button.

5. Confirm Deletion:

   • A confirmation window will appear. You may be required to enter your password and, if you have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled, your 2FA code.
   • Confirm the deletion by following the prompts.

Notes

• Ownership of Servers: If you own any servers, you will need to either delete them or transfer ownership to another user before you can delete your account.
• Data Deletion: Deleting your account is permanent and will remove all your data from Discord. Ensure you have saved any important information before proceeding.
