How to delete your account from YouTube

Before proceeding, ensure you are logged into the Google account associated with your YouTube account.

Steps to delete your account

1. Login to your Google Account:

   • Go to Google Account and sign in with your credentials.

2. Access YouTube Settings:

   • Navigate to YouTube and ensure you are logged in.
   • Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
   • Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

3. Go to Advanced Settings:

   • In the left-hand menu, click on "Advanced settings" under the "Account" section.

4. Delete Your Channel:

   • Scroll down and click on "Delete channel." You may be prompted to re-enter your Google account password.
   • You will be redirected to a page where you can choose to either hide your channel or permanently delete it. Select "I want to permanently delete my content."

5. Confirm Deletion:

   • Check the boxes to confirm that you understand the implications of deleting your channel.
   • Click "Delete my content."

6. Final Confirmation:

   • You may be asked to enter your email address to confirm the deletion. Enter your email and click "Delete my content" again.

Notes

• Deleting your YouTube channel will permanently remove all your videos, comments, messages, playlists, and history.
• This action is irreversible. Ensure you have backed up any content you wish to keep before proceeding.
• If you only want to hide your channel temporarily, you can choose the "I want to hide my channel" option instead of deleting it.
